All Different – All Equal Campaign partners with the the 7th edition of the EXIT festival. Diversity, equality and tolerance are the main themes of the event! Ms. Lauryn Hill, Beastie Boys, Robert Plant, Snoop Dogg, Tanya Stephens, The Prodigy, Wu-Tang Clan are scheduled to appear.
The EXIT festival came into being in the year 2000 as an act of rebellion against the regime of Slobodan Milošević, that had for years been keeping Serbia out of touch with the outside world. The festival became an act of protest to the imposed nationalism, xenophobia, censorship and repression. Since that time, the festival has been organized yearly and has rapidly gained international recognition. Each time, the event gathered famous musicians on the stage and thousands of people in the public. The festival proves that music is a universal language that can connect and bring people together.
This year, the programme includes a number of activities focused on the Campaign topics, among them:
- March of Diversity (organized everyday by the activists of the Campaign)
- Diversity photo project
- Devising theatre activities concerning human rights, fight against discrimination, xenophobia etc.
- Survey titled: “What makes Serbia different and what makes it equal with other countries in Europe?”
- White panel titled: “How should land of equality look like?”
- Panel discussions
- Interactive workshops
- Art activities: outdoor painting, exhibitions, face painting
- Movie installation
- Press conferences
- Promotional products delivery
