I was pleased to see that the All Different – All Equal campaign was “flying the flag” in the publicity cavalcade for the start of the Tour de France in Strasbourg, in the form of two vans bearing the campaign banner.
But did any of the thousands of spectators have any notion that the Council of Europe was behind it? If the vans were carrying the Council’s name or logo, neither was visible to me as they rolled past at a distance of two metres. Were people expected to guess from the 600CD registration plates?
