5th NCC in Serbia in July 2007
Dear NCC members and campaigners,
as the majority of you expressed the wish to combine the next NCC meeting with the EXIT festival in Novi Sad and support the Serbian NCC, our answer is: yes, we will do it and we are very much looking forward to it! We are in touch with the organisers and will have a centrally located tent space. But in order to make it a real success we would need your support, flexibility and your creativity to prepare and organise it all together. I am opening this forum to open up the discussion.
Time schedule:
9 July arrival
10, 11 July NCC meeting in a meeting place near the festival but not on its ground
12-15 July all different - all equal activities at the EXIT festival (tatoos, films, workshops etc)
NCC meeting:
- What kind of framework would you like to have for the meeting (detailed discussion of separate projects, facilitated working groups etc...)?
- What kind of input would you like to have for the meeting (e.g. Serbian Human Rights NGOs, Youth policy in Serbia....)? The overview of activities for 2007 is attached for your inspiration, it will be updated monthly from now on.
EXIT:
- Are you prepared to work as a volunteer during the festival?
- What kind of ideas do you have to make the Campaign visible during the festival?
- What kind of programme would you like to offer?
- Do you have any contacts to artists performing during the EXIT festival?
very much looking forward to reading your ideas, there will also be a preparatory meeting for the event!
Katrin

Proposal from the Bulgarian NCC
Proposals for the 5th NCC meeting, Serbia, July 2007:
1. We think it is a good idea to make a short overview about the activities (the best practices and activities) implemented by the NCCs for the period from the last NCC meeting (March, Warsaw) till now.
2. Every NCC to present in brief the planned activities for the rest of the year and for the end of the Campaign.
3. The NCC of Serbia to present the specifics of the Campaign in Serbia, the challenges, the difficulties and the good experience, as they also present the best practices and the planned activities.
4. We support the idea to be presented the specifics of the Youth policy in Serbia: which are the subjects and problems that concern the Serbian Youth, which are the institutions, organs, NGOs and people that implemented the youth policy in Serbia; how is the decision – making process happening, which are the problems, what are the challenges etc.
5. To be organized working groups on some specific topics that people need to talk about.
6. To be defined some hours for travel and sight-seeing of some of the greatest places and landmarks of Novi Sad.
NCC meeting
Hi everyone,
I am really looking forward to the meeting in Serbia and I think it would be very interesting to learn about the situation of antidiscrimination here and in other parts of Europe. I agree with Katrin that it could be interesting if some people prepared introductions or workshops on the issue. However, I don´t know if we will have time for everyone to present. Perhaps the organizers may choose some countries or themes that are especially relevent, and then ask a few people to prepare especially to present their topics?

Hey there, if we invite
Hey there,
if we invite somebody to speak about antidiscrimination policy in Serbia, what about having working groups dealing with antidiscrimination laws and the situation in all the countries represented? Of course this would mean to prepare something...
What do you think?
