Act against racism through the arts

YEN (Youth Express Network) will organize a training course in Italy from 25th of Febrauray until 3rd of March about Human Rights and arts.

 We intend to promote a dialogue between Human Rights Educators and Artists to spread the Human Rights message to the wider public, as well as to create awareness on the role the arts can play to build a more open society. We will bring together 30 European agents of change (half HR educators and socio-cultural workers, half artists). The project is an action training implemented by a team of experts dealing with human rights education, networking, arts and the media. It has been co-funded by the Council of Europe.  It is linked to the ALL DIFFERENT ALL EQUAL campaign and the ACT-HRE (Advanced Compass Training of Trainers in Human Rights Education) of the CoE (www.act-hre.coe.int)Its prime aim is to generate innovative policies to deal with cultural diversity by exploring new cultural and artistic approaches. It will target an international group of HR Educators and Artists and the local youth and immigrants, in a participatory planning cycle.
