International Training Course for CIS Rural Young Political Leaders
April 2007, Baku-Azerbaijan
SUMMARY: This innovative pilot project on developing youth political leadership in CIS countries (rural regions) will be implemented in cooperation and with participation of young politically active people, leaders of NGOs, CBOs, municipalities, civil servants, young representatives of political parties and political experts from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation and Belarus.
Reliable Future with its partners and through involvement of professionals, key speakers, wide range of experienced trainers is going to establish the virtual School of Youth Political Leadership to be based on Internet that will enable organization of training courses, educational programs, platform for cooperation and leadership development for young people of different regions of the world in the area of political activities.
PROJECT AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: - Promote political awareness about the “European Campaign All Different All Equal” among young politically active people in CIS region; - Improve political institutions and political awareness of young people in CIS about human rights, tolerance, ethnic, cultural, religious diversity, culture of peace, intercultural understanding; - Provide platform for political cooperation of young people from different rural regions of CIS region;
CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION: Young members of political parties, leaders of NGOs, CBOs, students of universities, youth interested in political education are welcome to apply. The women are highly encouraged to apply. About half of all participants will be women. Selection of participants will be done with involvement of national and international experts via developed application form and further e-interviews to be based on special guidelines & selection criteria. Selection will be based on submitted applications after an official announcement of training course has been presented. Submitted applications will be reviewed by the project team and short listed candidates will be contacted for further interviews or request for additional essays. Selected final applicants will be informed about exact dates & administrative issues for their participation at the training course.

It is my pleasure to inform you that considering the suggestions from Council of Europe EYF, Reliable Future NGO has extended the geographic coverage for the training to be held in Baku capital of Azerbaijan this coming end of March-April.
Now the young people from Poland, Czech republic, Slovenia, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, France and UK are eligible to apply for the participation at the International Training Course for Young Political Leaders within the All Different-All Equal European Campaign.
