3rd NCC meeting - Day 3

[inline:1=Digit number three]The first speaker of the day was Mr. Paul Lappalainen, expert on anti-discrimination issues and lobbying for policy changes. He delivered a presentation covering various issues: from a comparative analysis of European and North American policies to the theme of effective lobbying (see attached powerpoint presentation).

The morning kept on with a presentation from Ms. Fíona Ní Chinnéide, representant of the European Youth Card Association, the organisation issuing the European Youth Card <26. EYCA offered support and co-operation in disseminating information about the Campaign (at pan-European or national level) and the Campaign events.

The second half of the morning was dedicated to a debate that tackled various issues, amongst which:

• the co-operation between the NCCs and the Campaign Secretariat
• the impact of the European action weeks on national campaigns
• the project of the infobus
• the organisation of the next NCC meeting (scheduled for March '07)
• the possibility of prolonging the Campaign over 2008

The meeting closed with a round of feedbacks from participants to the organisers about how the meeting went.
